Kevin Durant, Steve Kerr come to JaVale McGee’s defense in beef with Shaq

JaVale McGee has been an easy target for Shaquille O’Neal for quite some time, but the Warriors center is done with the constant ridicule — and so are his teammates and coaches.

After McGee and Shaq engaged in an ugly Twitter beef following the Warriors’ win over the Clippers on Thursday night, Golden State star forward Kevin Durant and coach Steve Kerr defended McGee. Both agreed Shaq’s jokes had gone too far.

“Shaq was a s—y free-throw shooter. He missed dunks. He airballed free Cheap Girls Softball Jerseys throws. He couldn’t shoot outside of the paint,” Durant said. “He was bigger than everybody. He didn’t have no skill, but he was bigger and stronger than everybody. And he’s still a great player, but you had your flaws, too, as a player. And he played on five or six teams, too. So it’s not like he was just this perfect center.”

Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo continued his breakout season by scoring 21 points with eight rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 99-85 win against the Pacers.

Nikola Jokic, one of the NBA’s fastest-rising stars, was at his best again in a 119-99 win over the Celtics. Jokic scored 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while hauling in 10 rebounds with seven assists and four steals.

Draymond Green recently made fun of the Hawks for not game-planning Cheap High Quality NFL Jerseys against him, but he can’t make that claim Friday in a 103-102 loss to the Timberwolves. Green scored just five points on 1-of-8 shooting in 38 minutes. He did add seven assists and six rebounds, but he’s expected to be the team’s third scorer with Kevin Durant out. He has not stepped up, though.
